_ So it has been a long and winding process, searching little bengkels, drinking lots of coffee smoking a lot of cigarettes and a fair bit of blood, sweat and tears. Finally RHONDA is possibly at her best. A day shy of that special day full of love and sharing RHONDA returned from the Bengkel. Stainless bolts throughout and a kinda top-secret engine overhaul, new carb, new clutch and some general housekeeping was administered up at Mas Yonos. With a very short period between getting the seat done and heading to Mas Yonos as you can see I went for the slightly café seat. A few people have said it looks kinda weird, but that’s because it unique and different (to what they have seen, not different in the café world). Having had the first cuci tonight I took some shots before heading to the beach to get wet. They came up all right I think. Next on the agenda will be to assist Tom getting the CB up to scratch so we can all do a ride somewhere for a café to café trip. RHONDA has kindly donated an organ to the CB, which hopefully is still good. What kind generous soul she is. Any further updates will include if (WHEN) maintenance (OR PROBLEMS) arise as well as some awesome shots of RHONDA out and about. For now, back to surfing and riding RHONDA around for the love x Haven't had an update for a while, my day job is re-focusing so havent had a whole lot of RHONDA time. Have had a chance to get a seat made which is quite a funny story. After going in to the shop the previous week we were told to come back in a week as it was galungan and all the Balinese are on holidays at that time. We go back the next week, and just as I am pulling around the last corner, the seat shop in sight, I hear the roar of a KLX pull up beside me with Polisi stickers all over it. I had to stop. I pleaded with the bloke and as I didnt really have a leg to stand on, no seat, no important documents, no brake light, and a couple of other things were missing. I managed to get out of it (minus 100 grand) and pretty much walked the bike across the road and organised the start of my seat!??! Other progress includes a wire-up and also a wild goose chase looking for a complete mesin stainless get-up. come this time next week my mesin will be bored to Tiger capacity complete with Stainless detail. The official shoot won;t be happening untill everything is right and I get a banging sunset to beat with a foreground of rice paddies. stay tuned x az :) This is your new blog post. Hi Az. A quick net search showed a few other Hondas named Rhonda. Interestingly, i found an actual lady, who is a gymnastics coach called "Rhonda Honda". Nice name! If you don't believe me, check it out. Rhonda Honda's Gym Club.
The big sticker doesn't look very minimalist so changed it up and pretty happy with the result as you can see by the other shots i have quite a few, so as it doesn't look staight (doh!) I will be able to fix it up later on, seat tomorrow, please don't rain! hmmm Galungan has taken its toll on the Modif-off, some things come to a grinding halt at times like this over here in Indo. I did manage to duck into a secret little sticker place to get some RHONDA markings made up before the madness started. Not sure about the placement yet, looking at this clip it kinda looks in the wrong place. Its looks good from a far but not all that asli. It will take a keen eye to pick up the R at the front of the more well-known markings of Honda, check the clip, apologies for the Justice audio, I have been listening to them a little of late ... az x |
RHONDA
The Big G AL has been given a second chance, a new lease on life. Playing a part in the next chapter of this down and out shit heap is going to a learning curve and a challenge, but I've got a good feeling this little beauty will be turning heads by the end. Archives
