Like a rival I'm going to keep my cards close to my chest, so here is a tricked out, blurry, intentionally oldskool side on image of RHONDA the night before she went to the Benkel for wiring up. A few things will need to be done, ignition with steering lock, refix rear break, hook up coil and CDI and organise a fitting for the tank to be secure. Las but certainly not least, connecting RHONDAs veins to her heart. There will be n battery, minimalist all the way, which will probably mean I won't be doing a whole lot of driving at night ha, but thats the way i want it- very, very close now

So now it back in my bathroom alongside a whole lot of disregarded asli 80's style GL pro fairing. The remaining step will be to wheel it back up to Putu's Bengkel on a nominated Saturday to get wiring done and fit out a few things that i either have no idea about or can't do with the tools i have. Like I say pretty pumped.
Back to work now so can't devote a lot of attention to RHONDA right now as being organised at school unfortunatley has to take the cake. Stay tuned will have to upload a slip or at least a link to a clip with the sound of RHONDAs exhaust ... az xo Dear Weebly, Can please sort out the silly little "Ooops, we are under construcsti ... " it is making all my blog posts very badly regurgitated as I have lost everything from that stupid "Oooops" thing On a slightly lighter note, here is Rhonda from above, looking the gooods, needs a seat will have to go with a flat one as their is not enough room for a cafe racers style seat to sit comfortably, thats enough I need to hit PUBLISH LIVE before the stupid OOooops thing happens again :P ...
That's right RHONDAs heart is back, fresh lick of paint, a few minor epoxy touch ups, a bloody long wait, but as you can see it was worth it. The clear coat probably still needs a day or two so at the moment her heart is hanging in the trees getting some sun, how lucky is she, sitting in the arvo sun just hanging out. Haven't really had the courage to hook it on the bike just yet as i dont really wanna scuff the finish in any way shape or form. I have unfortunately had to touch up a few minor nicks elsewhere on the frame as per fitting everything up, but i won't tell so no one can notice. Next will be: - Chain - Rear Brake - Drilling to fit tank in ...and then hopefully by Saturday I will be wheeling her up to get wired up for the very first ride, wow nervous days ahead, I might have modified her to death so she doesn't go anymore ha oh well only time will tell ... az xo This is your new blog post. There has been a lot of painting and re-painting of late, I've actually had a go myself as you can see to the left as it kinda looks like a crap coat of paint. Found some brackets for the variasi head light which initially didn't fit (that is a lesson itself, especially after I had it painted before trying to fit it up), so after realising took the brackets back down to the boss round the corner, a little welding and re-paint had it fitting nice and snug. At this point still waiting for my tank, they said it would be done about a week ago, so just gotta take it with a grain of salt and think, the longer I leave the paint to dry the better the finish will look. After the tank is in place, it will just be a matter of organising the chain and rear brake fitting, then back up to Ketut so he wire it up to get a ride! Next on the shopping list will be two pretty big pieces of pie, a modifikasi exhaust and then the seat. I will be riding around with a pillow duct-taped on for a makeshift seat at this point :( More soon .... ...
So, It's all happening, I'm getting closer and closer, all the major components and processes are kinda underway and by this time tomorrow I could have every thing assembled (minus wiring) for a size up to consider which seat will look the most awesome. As you can see from the pics, I really like the basic 'foam throughout' cafe racer look, but if you look further down there is a pic of a really sweet minimalist all black street tracker style. I like both seat styles however the seat at the top is kinda a little less common where I am right now. Their will be no rear fairing whatsoever, to keep it looking roar (and the muddy racing stripe up the back of my t-shirt), the only thing at the rear will be a rear brake light, indicators in the most inconspicuous manner possible. This all probably sounds ridiculous, but it will not be built to tackle mud pits and stink holes, so it will appear in the most minimal of fashion. What do you think??? az xo ... :) This is an older picture, but as per the older posts, I had a few problems fitting up the front wheel. You can't see the details so I thought I would just put this one up. Looking the goods, will look a lot better with a seat and a tank (which is on the way!).
_ This is RHONDA post welding and painting. She looks absolutely fantastic. Her frame glistens in the midday sun, or perhaps the rain (if you have been in Bali of late). The tail has been fixed a little shorter, a new plate for the fuel tank and a sponno new splash-back guard welded to the frame near the front part of the rear tyre. With all the excitement of putting the pieces back together, as luck would have it, the rear wheel fits nicely but quite the opposite for the front wheel. The brakes don't fit, the spacers dont fit, the little speedo fitting doesn't fit, and even with the master at hand he suggested it may be a job for the gurus, hmm might be wheeling a have assembled motorbike up the road sometime this week??! ...

RHONDA
The Big G AL has been given a second chance, a new lease on life. Playing a part in the next chapter of this down and out shit heap is going to a learning curve and a challenge, but I've got a good feeling this little beauty will be turning heads by the end. Archives
