Frame has been stripped down to engine only. The trellis frame is good in its own rights, but wont suit this project. Basically going to cut that off, and weld a new central cross member and engine suoorts. That can then bolt to the Aluminium cast frame, and a shortened subframe. Should be able to keep similar geometry as before.
Hmm, not sure if i would officially say "its on", but i did source a different gearset on the weekend to raise the gearing and top speed a little. The new dealership on JL bypass seem good, and have promised parts from JKT in a week or 2. That will get the ball rolling. Going from 520-41
Its premature i know, but to keep the modif-off alive i have been thinking of my next project. Ill give it some more thought when the Honda is done, but its good to think over while i am to busy to work on the CG. I have had this Sachs/Megelli 250 for quite a while, but its not my favorite bike to ride. There are lots of good things about it, buts its going under the modif-off hammer. I am thinking a Ducati style cafe racer. As per the "inspirasi" blog.
Things i don't like about it....

Megelli 250
This is my second project. Mild engine work, a new tank and seat, ill use the swingarm and underseat exhaust. Ill drop the front forks a little and rewire with minimal styling and none of the plastic fairings. Archives
